EA's are the only practitioners required to demonstrate competence specifically in matters of taxation. We are the only taxpayer representative who receives that right from the U.S. Government, rather than from individual states. This means no matter what state you live in, we can prepare your taxes. As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) I have completed the rigorous CFP certification process that includes demanding education, examination, experience and ethical requirements. Anyone can call himself or herself a "financial planner". Only those who have fulfilled the certification and renewal requirements of the CFP Board can display the CFP certification marks. This provides you a sense of security that I can provide you and your family with guidance over your lifetime, or work with you to address specific concerns as needed. Bound by the CFP Code of Ethics, I have agreed to act fairly and diligently when providing you with financial planning advice and services, putting your interests first.

As both an Enrolled Agent and a Certified Financial Planner, I use all avenues of my education to be able to recognize how each financial decision will affect other areas of your finances, as well as your taxes.
